Super BowlSuper Bowl 48 is in the record books. The Seattle Seahawks won their first ever title. And they deserve huge congratulations. So let’s have some fun talking about the biggest and last game of the season.

Seattle Came to Win the Super Bowl

There can’t be much doubt that the Seattle Seahawks came to win the Super Bowl. They sure didn’t make any mistake in that goal. They were driven, serious, and error-free. Seattle football fans have good reason to hold their heads high. Their team showed why they are Super Bowl champions.

Marshawn Lynch proved why he is a team leader. Russell Wilson proved that short quarterbacks can be big winners. But, it was the defense that won the Super Bowl 48. So it’s fitting that Seahawk’s number 53, Malcolm Smith wins MVP.

What Happened to the Denver Broncos?

So the next question becomes, what happened to the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 48? What did Super Bowl 48they come to do? Play a pick-up game in the backyard? The Denver Bronco team that I watched in the Super Bowl had no relationship to the team I’ve seen throughout the season.

That doesn’t mean I am demeaning the great play of the Seahawks. I’m just wondering what happened to Denver. This certainly wasn’t a great match up of the two best teams in the NFL. It was a one-sided game where Seattle controlled the activity and Denver reacted with hung heads.

Super Bowl 48 Review

The only people who would have loved this game were the Seattle fans. I don’t blame them. This was a great game to watch if you are Seahawks fan. For everybody else, Super Bowl 48 was plain out boring. Future Hall of Famer, Peyton Manning, was boring to watch. The Seattle defense provided the excitement. The Seattle offense supported their defense.

If you and your friends came together for a Super Bowl football party, you were in luck. Otherwise, the best part of the game was the beautiful job Renee Fleming did of the National Anthem. Yes, that brought tears to my eyes. Not only her voice, but the whole package. With the Armed Forces Chorus providing harmonic backup and fireworks punctuating “bombs bursting in air.” Incredible.

Seattle Seahawks fans stand proud. Your team proved they are worth of the Super Bowl trophy.

I agree it was rather boring to watch but I am very happy for the Seattle fans (lots of my family memebers). It’s been a long time coming! I do wish Peyton would have turned on the magic and given them some competition though!
